Snow Storm

Watching the sledders in Latham Park. What a thrill for Eli!
Eli loves the snow! He had such a good time wandering around in it this afternoon. J thought they would go out for an adventure walk, but Eli just wanted to stay in our yard and watch his boots slip out of sight in the snow. His MawMaw brought him some mittens and boots for the snow storm and he proudly wore them as the snow began to fall. He wanted to wear them through dinner and bathtime too. He loved looking at them today in the snow. Oh, if we could all be so innocent and simple-minded....

Knox

Loving the chocolate chip and blueberry pancakes this morning-how obvious is it that he is our 2nd child and not our 1st?

So close to walking, but he would probably walk sooner if I didn't follow him around and sit him on his bottom, telling him he is way too little to walk.

These two are definitely beginning to bond...if Eli knocking him to the floor while they wrestle counts.

Such a sweetheart!

Little Knoxers is 10 months old! We hate to think about him getting so big. I have cherished these past months with him. He is such a sweet, sweet boy. Knox and I have such a special bond. He is so tender-hearted...much more sensitive at an early age than Eli. He definitely reserves a special belly laugh for anything his big brother does to him, be it kind or unkind. Knox finds no wrong in anything Eli does. He stares at him adoringly, lunges for him when he buzzes past, and allows Eli to "wrestle" him. Eli better beware though; Knox can literally out-eat all the rest of us. He eats more than Eli at every meal. We keep telling Eli he better watch out! He is chattering quite a bit, some of it is actually understandable. I do think he makes the connection with Da-Da. He even says E-I. We certainly do adore this little boy...

Just Because

I am completely in love with this little boy. I ask both my boys all the time, "If you had to guess, how long will you be my little baby?" Eli usually looks at me and asks for milk or a snack, but sweet Knox always grins really big and buries his head into my shoulder. He keeps his eyes on me all the time and wants me to hold him as often as possible. Oh, what a sweetness!
J and I missed him for a minute on Sunday evening and he had helped himself through my diaper bag, discovered a baggie of cookies, and proceeded to help himself to several. He is my ultimate weakness, I don't think I've introduced him to the word, "No". J went to take the bag away from him, but I insisted that he let the baby enjoy a cookie or two...

Special Playdates

Knox, 9 months; Eli 22 months; Catherine 2 1/2; Van 10 months
Knox and Van at 9 and 10 months
My sweet friend Cambre surprised us with a visit this week! How nice to have friends that you can spontaneously get together with and catch up over lunch and kids playing in the background? Sweet Catherine gave Knox lots of kisses. She is so sweet to her baby brother too. I hope Eli was watching...He still doesn't have the idea that he should be affectionate with Knox. I'm sure he loves him a lot in his own non-expressive little way...Right?
We had two fun playdates this week with friends. On Monday, Mac and Eli came over with their mommies for a morning of fun. My Eli and Becca's Eli were a bit perplexed by their being two Eli's. Four little boys can have a lot of fun together...I can't imagine if Knox was running around too! Mac, Eli, and Eli enjoyed watching the garbage truck. Why do all boys love big trucks?
