Almost Irish Twins....

Miss Blakely is almost 7 months old!

This little boy has been rolling over, both ways, for two weeks!

Eli LOVES the pool!

Knox started his nap in a good swaddle...this was what I found when I went in his room at the end of his nap.

Eli will be 16 months old and Knox 3 months old in a few days. I guess they don't quite qualify to be "irish twins" but they are pretty close to the mark. We do get that comment a lot, among the looks of sympathy...I could literally go the rest of my life and never hear the comment, "you've got your hands full." Of course I do, but so does nearly every other Mom I know, regardless of how many little blessings she may have.
It is absolutely crazy at our house from 5:00-7:30 every night. Eli is so settled into his nightly schedule and he doesn't like to waver off the normal routine. Knox is proving to be a creature of habit too. They both enjoy a nightly bath before heading to bed. We have always read to Eli before bed. I used to normally do this part of his routine because I enjoyed that time with him so much. This is a part of his day that I haven't experienced in a very long time. The other night I could hear Jerrold reading to Eli as I was settling down to take care of Knox. I decided to read him a book too. It was such a sweet moment as I realized we were both taking care of these two little boys, even if it was something as simple as just reading to them. It humbled me to realize how much we anticipated, and often feared, our quick transition to two children. But God is so good and He always gives us exactly what he knows we can handle. We would be lost without Knox. In just the short 11 weeks we have known him, he has stolen our hearts. We feel so very blessed to have two healthy little boys, even if a year ago we never dreamed we'd be able to make it all work.

The wild man...

Eli's personality has reached a new peak. He is into absolutely everything inside and outside of our house. He still isn't using many words, but we are pretty sure we heard him say, "Bye Blakely," yesterday. He uses sign language to get most of his points across, specfically asking for milk all day long. We are confident he will move from steady babble to actual words soon. He definitely has a lot to say, we just can't yet comprehend it.

Little Man

Our little baby is growing up so fast! It is truly amazing how quickly they change and develop. We sure do love him....
