Happy Birthday Eli!

Eli had a big birthday party this weekend! He is blessed to have four grandparents, four great-grandparents, four uncles, four aunts, and many other extended family that love him. Needless to say, he was showered with gifts and attention all weekend. We have TONS of new toys to play with at our house! I'm not sure if Eli or Mommy is more excited about this...we were definitely ready for some big boy toys! What a great year for our family. We feel very blessed to call this little boy our son. He has been more of a blessing than we could ever have anticipated....He is very loved!

1st Haircut & 1st DumDum

Finished Product

Before we headed to the Hair Shop

No more hair in this little boy's eyes....

Eli had his first haircut today in lieu of turning a year old this upcoming Sunday. He was so good in the chair! I guess the fact that he had his first sucker didn't hurt either. He was completely enthralled by the DumDum...He looks more like a big brother than ever!

Busy Little Boy

Eli has discovered the art of climbing steps. He heads right for the steps at my parent's house without hesitation. Today, as Dad worked on the baby's room Eli discovered that we have steps in our house too. They just happen to fall out of our ceiling. He was fascinated! He crawled up and down as long as his Papa would stand there and watch him.
All he had to do was whimper a little bit when Papa pushed the steps back into the attic, and down they would come again! Hopefully, he won't remember they are up there in the morning...

Eli's Daddy has never attempted cutting his nails. Eli looks a little concerned at Daddy's lack of experience. What a sad little face!

This little boy better enjoy the limelight for a few more weeks. His days are numbered...We went to the Doctor today and it seems that very soon there will definitely be a baby brother here for Eli!

Blakely

Eli's little cousin is really growing up! She is almost three months old! We can't believe how much she has changed each time we see her. We sure do love her! Here are a few recent pictures.

Superbowl Sunday!

Why don't we do this every Sunday?
So yummy....

A look of total satisfaction

I hate to see football season come to an end...

Eli's favorite "holiday" will probably forever be the Superbowl. I, in my very pregnant state, decided he should share a jar of marshmallow creme with me last night as Mom and I made rice krispy treats. Needless to say, he thought this treat was over the top. He had both hands in the jar, rubbed his hands all through his hair, and managed to pretty much cover his face with a sticky mess! Thanks Papa for the great pictures!
