Summertime Fun!

I love summertime! I enjoy the boys being out of preschool, sleeping in each morning, and staying up a little later than usual. All three of my boys are keeping me busy! Eli and Knox continue to be best buddies and rarely argue. I am so thankful they play so well together. Their favorite activity right now is playing soldiers! They are consumed with all things Revolutionary War. I heard Eli calling Knox John Adams today...their Daddy is so proud. They are also into all sports. These boys will sit through an entire baseball game and never miss a play. They are also spending the summer ramping up their golf game. Regardless of the activity, they are almost always together.

Briggs-7 months

Our baby started crawling right before the 7 month milestone. He finally began sleeping through the night too after having tubes put in his ears. He continues to be such a sweetheart, very laid-back. He is an excellent eater too!

Briggs: 6 months

Briggs might be our wild child.
Looking a little less wild before church.
Meeting Biju Thomas, founder of the Transformation India Movement.  This was such a special morning for Eli & Knox.  They pray for the children in Bihar, India before every meal.

This sweet boy is six months old.  I cannot believe how much he has grown and how active he has become in the past month.  He is trying so, so hard to crawl and has mastered a number of yoga positions.  He is eating solids three times a day and weighing it at almost exactly 20 pounds.  He has a temper that has never shown up in his older brothers.  We can always tell when he is getting tuned up in his crib, we can hear his feet begin pounding the mattress in frustration.  He loves his Daddy a lot, more than I remember the older two favoring him.  He was sleeping soundly through the night right before turning six months old and has now been battling ear infections for more than two weeks.  We have already been referred for tubes.

We are having so much fun with these little boys.  Tonight, I could hear something clanging through the dryer cycle and it took us a while to determine it was something in Eli's shorts.  Jerrold's first guess was a metal revolutionary war soldier...he was right.  It is ALL boy around here ALL the time.

Briggs-5 months old!

Believe it or not, this little boy is an identical to his big brother Knox.  We pulled out home videos and old pictures a few weeks ago and were completely blown away by how much they resemble each other.  Briggs is weighing in at 18 pounds!  Amazing that with all those pounds he still wants to eat at night, sometimes two or three times.  We are fighting through some tough sleep training right now and Jerrold has deemed himself the coach.  There has already been improvement and I am so thankful for his support in this tough season.

Briggs is so laidback and we often note how little noise he makes, during the day :).  He is perfectly content to watch Eli & Knox as they play.  He loves to watch tv, just like Eli did as a baby.  We just pulled out our praise baby dvds and the baby einsteins too.  It's been surreal to hear those songs and videos playing again, it's amazing how much I have forgotten since my first two babies were babies together.
