Masters Weekend

Daddy's golf bag is still a little too big for Eli.
Eli is into everything right now-he was on a mission in this golf bag!

He finally found that lost golf ball.

Eli has been trying to help with Knox, but he doesn't have the greatest amount of patience with him. He steals his pacifier and then tries to force him to take it back. Every day is quite the adventure!

Tarheel Pride

Needless to say, Monday night's National Championship was a big deal at our house. Well, for most of the boys in our house. I really wanted Carolina to win the National Championship last year for Eli, but instead they won it this year for Knox. I just hope this doesn't mean that Eli will be a Duke fan! I made several attempts to catch both the boys in their UNC apparel...no such luck and there are bigger battles to fight right now!

1st Week

Eli had his first Little Gym experience today at a friend's birthday party.
He had so much fun!Eli couldn't believe we hadn't taken him to this wonderful party place before today!

Knox and Van enjoying the party from the sidelines.

Knox had his first round of pictures today...I snapped a few around the photographer. He was wide awake the entire time...the most alert we have seen him.

This was a very good week for our family. Knox is sleeping really well, even a few long stretches during the night. Eli is doing really well with the new addition...we are just working on being gentle with the baby. Eli is really enjoying all the extra attention from his Daddy. We give our first week an A+...

Nathanael Knox Simmons

Knox is here! We have been so blessed with another beautiful baby boy! He arrived at 6:32 last night, March 27th. He is definitely a big boy, weighing in at 9 pounds 7 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. We can't wait to introduce him to his big brother later today! We are so grateful for all the prayers this week. God's hand was definitely upon us the entire time. We feel very, very blessed!

The Waiting Game

Eli has been a busy little boy....

Eli is enjoying the perks of Uncle Evan's police work. This week Uncle Evan gave Eli and his buddies police badges. He even turned on the lights and sirens when leaving the neighborhood!

Daddy and Eli had a picnic lunch in the front yard after all their yard work.

This is one of Eli's favorite "rides" right now. He loves steering through the neighborhood on the way to the park.

I guess he couldn't decide which toy looked the most appealing. His books are even more entertaining to sort...

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Eli's baby brother. We will be induced on Friday morning if he doesn't make a grand entrance on his own. I tried to buy him a "Big Brother" t-shirt this week but it seems they only make those starting in size 2T. Why is that?
These last two weeks have been so much fun with Eli. We have soaked up every minute with him...When I put him to bed tonight I was overwhelmed by how much I love him. I prayed over him that Jerrold and I will make decisions in the upcoming days that will help Eli adjust as best as possible. How could we love another little boy as much as we love him? Our family is in for a whirlwind of emotions...
