Soldiers

This is our life. Every. Single. Day. Bless them all, my sweet boys. They definitely got it honest. They know more American history than most adults...not sure how that will best serve them in life.

Knox

Knox is such a sweet
child, but definitely has a few of those middle child traits. He does make us laugh a lot and is certainly not going to be overshadowed by Eli's more dominant personality. I had to record his prayer tonight...
Thank you God for sprinkles on my icecream, thank you God for Papa catching fish in the ocean, thank you God for him being a fisherman and hunter, thank you God for my daddy bring a deer hunter too, thank you God for making me a fisherman and deer hunter. Amen

Pray for Mason

Please pray for our dear friends little boy, born at just 23 weeks. He is almost 8 weeks old, but has been extremely sick the last several days. His parents, Josh & Lauren, have been exemplary examples of walking by faith. They continue to praise God in the midst of this trial.
"But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
2 Corinthians 12:9

Bluebirds

My boys gave me a Bluebird house for Christmas. it was the sweetest gift and Jerrold and Eli did an excellent job painting it Carolina blue.
We spent the spring watching and waiting for a bluebird family to find our yard. The boys were very engaged in the bluebird sighting. We were thrilled when a little bluebird couple started their first nest!
These are pictures of our third nest this year! We have spread the thrill to some of the boys best buddies and they came over today to view our newest babies! Eli and Knox were so excited to tell them the eggs finally hatched!
My days of being a science teacher are still with me....FYI-bluebirds are extremely tolerant of human interaction, they will not abandon their nests!

Summertime Fun!

I love summertime! I enjoy the boys being out of preschool, sleeping in each morning, and staying up a little later than usual. All three of my boys are keeping me busy! Eli and Knox continue to be best buddies and rarely argue. I am so thankful they play so well together. Their favorite activity right now is playing soldiers! They are consumed with all things Revolutionary War. I heard Eli calling Knox John Adams today...their Daddy is so proud. They are also into all sports. These boys will sit through an entire baseball game and never miss a play. They are also spending the summer ramping up their golf game. Regardless of the activity, they are almost always together.

Briggs-7 months

Our baby started crawling right before the 7 month milestone. He finally began sleeping through the night too after having tubes put in his ears. He continues to be such a sweetheart, very laid-back. He is an excellent eater too!
