Thunder Thighs

Knox is serious about some oatmeal. We started feeding him cereal and now he thinks he should eat everytime we eat. This child has some major thunder thighs too. He is so big! It has done us no favors having our boys a year apart as far as clothing goes. This boy can't wear any of Eli's clothes from last summer....

Choo Choos

Eli is obsessed with the trains that pass by my Mom and Dad's house. They live right across from the train tracks and typically trains pass by about every 20 minutes or so. My family never hears the trains, we are so used to it after all these years. Eli, on the other hand, starts running for their front door the minute he hears one coming. Dad and I took him to see an old train caboose that is at the only true intersection in Ruffin. He had so much fun...

Cousins

My sister and Blakely came to spend the morning with us and we had quite the adventure at the Science Center. Blakely is now 9 months old and still so petite and sweet! She won't have to worry about being "dainty" because she has two big cousins to take care of her.

He's starting to grow on me...

Eli is really enjoying being big brother to Knox right now. He is so young, but so perceptive at the same time. He starts to cry and whine if he hears Knox fussing over the monitor. He gets really frustrated with us if we don't immediately respond...He is definitely not into letting Knox cry it out every now and then. What an attentive big brother!

Summer Fun

Eli was introduced to a red velvet cupcake at Uncle Ryan and Aunt Lindsey's wedding shower...Eli and Knox actually have two Aunt Lindsey's!

Such a butterball!

We will be sad to see summer come to an end in a few weeks. We have had so much fun! Eli has spent most of his afternoons at the pool with his good buddy Mac. He has enjoyed the water so much and will be very disappointed when this season is over. Knox has developed such a personality. He is a very content baby that likes to laugh. He watches Eli all the time and seems to absorb everything going on around him. He had cereal today for the first time. He ate every bit of it, J and I were so surprised at how well he ate for the first time. I will have to post pictures of that very soon. We are already looking forward to next summer and all the excitement that will come with one and two year old boys! We keep telling ourselves it will be much easier....right?

Aunt Lindsey

Eli and Knox had a special visitor about a week ago. Aunt Lindsey came and spent the day with us. We took her to the Natural Science Center to see the meerkats, otters, and monkeys. We had a great day! She even helped us go to ChickfilA for lunch...needless to say we don't attempt that on our own! Thanks for coming to see us! We hope you come again very soon!
